What Are You Looking For?

Hygiene Hunting

Hygiene Hunting

Whether you are a new graduate, new to the area or looking for a change, at some point you will find yourself looking for a job. Hygiene hunting is a skill we don’t do often enough to become an expert. So I asked NDHA member Holly Hill, RDH and owner of the website Dtoothsolutions.com her best advice for those looking for a position.

Utilize the internet.

There are several sites that are great resources. From these sites you can find positions that are needing to be filled immediately, You can also get information about those potential employers and offices from other users of the sites which can be very helpful in deciding if the culture of an office is compatible with you. There are several sites that are open forums and can be helpful.  Be sure that on these open sites the information and advice you get is accurate. Dental Post and Dtoothsoulutions are membership sites that specialize in helping you find not only a permanent position but temporary work as well.

Have your resume ready.

Be sure your resume reflects not only your education and dental experience, but also your interests and accomplishments outside your profession. You are more than your degree and credentials. Show off all of your talents.
